Most sync tools automatically create a dedicated sync "folder" after installation. The sync tool client automatically uploads files in this folder to the cloud and synchronizes them in real-time to every device that has the same sync tool installed, achieving synchronization.

Before We Begin

This article primarily focuses on Synology NAS products. Other NAS brands (such as QNAP) may have similar features and can also refer to the setup methods in this article.

Before starting, please ensure you have a Synology NAS device (supporting Synology Drive) available.

Setting Up Synology Drive

Synology Drive for Synology NAS is a file synchronization application that allows you to easily sync files on your Synology NAS with other devices (such as computers or mobile devices with DS cloud). By installing Synology Drive Server on your Synology NAS and installing Synology Drive on your computer, you can automatically sync files stored on your computer to your Synology NAS.

Establishing Connection Between Synology NAS and Computer

Go to Package Center, find Synology Drive Server, then click Install.
Launch Synology Drive Server.
In the Overview tab, click the button under Synology Drive to download Synology Drive for your operating system. (You can also download Synology Drive from the Synology Download Center.)
Launch the installer on your computer and follow the on-screen instructions to install Synology Drive.
After installation, run Synology Drive on your computer. Click Get Started.
Enter the Synology NAS address (or QuickConnect ID), username, and password for running Synology Drive. You can click the search icon on the right to search for IP addresses in the LAN. Click Next.
Select sync task, click "Advanced Settings", then Next.
Choose the folders you want to sync between your Synology NAS and computer, then click Apply.
Do not check "Enable on-demand sync to save computer storage space", click Finish to complete setup.
You can find the Synology Drive icon in the system tray.
Click the system tray to open the task menu. You can view program and file status here. Click the main application to open Synology Drive.

Open Synology Drive path
Place your Eagle library into this folder
Return to Eagle, click the software menu "Library" > "Load Other Library..."
Select the moved path, and you're done after loading!
Open other devices, repeat the above steps, wait for synchronization to complete, then import the library to finish the sync setup!
