Switching Layouts

Justified Layout

By default, Eagle will display images in "Justified Layout", the layout ensures that when displaying in the list, each image won't be cropped. It's suitable for sorting and searching for images. Many services also adapt to the same layout, such as Goole Search, 500px, Flicker.

Waterfall Layout

Sometimes, one layout may not meet diverse needs, such as long images, webpage screenshots. Eagle supports  "Waterfall Layout" for long images, we just need to switch the layout to meet how we want to browse images.

Switch Layout

You can switch the layout of the current page at any time. Switching won't cause the images to reload. Currently, you can switch layout by following ways:

  1. Right-click menu
Right-click on the blank of the list and select the desired layout.
  2. Switch
Press "Alt +1" to switch to justified layout.
Press "Alt + 2" to switch to waterfall layout.

Comparison of Different Layouts

  • Justified
The visual alignment grid is unified, suitable for image sorting and searching.
  • Waterfall
The visual alignment grid is irregular, takes much effort when searching, but suitable for viewing long or various sizes of images.
