Video player

Eagle supports saving video files and playback functions, but currently only supports playback for specific file formats. If you want to play video files in formats other than mp4, you can convert the files to mp4 format using a file conversion tool. For recommendations on conversion tools, please click here.


Pause for Review

You can pause the video to closely examine the current frame. Shortcut key: Spacebar.


Forward/Rewind

You can fast forward or rewind the video in 5-second increments. Shortcut keys: ⌘ + Left/Right.


Frame-by-Frame Viewing

You can advance or rewind the video by pressing shortcut keys for 1 frame [ / ] or 10 frames Shift + [ / ] respectively.


Volume Adjustment

Besides clicking the volume button to select the volume, you can also use the mouse scroll wheel or shortcut keys macOS: ⌘ + Up/Down; Windows: Ctrl + Up/Down to adjust the volume.Currently, the video playback mode supports "progress control" and "volume control" via the mouse wheel. If you want to change the wheel functions, go to software preferences, click "Viewing Habits," and find "Vertical Scrolling" to adjust.


Repeat Play for Specific Segments

Sometimes, you might want to repeat a specific section of the video. Now, you can use the trimming tools on both sides to set the segment you wish to repeatedly play. The player will automatically loop within this range.


Hover to Preview Content

If you want to quickly browse through all the content of a video, now you can hover the cursor over the progress bar to see the frame, and if it's what you want to watch, you can directly click on that position to play.


Playback Speed

Eagle supports adjusting playback speed (0.25x - 8x). Shortcut keys Shift + . / ,.


Loop Playback

Click the loop playback button to repeat the current video.


Add Notes

Eagle supports adding comments or annotations on specific time segments of the video. For more information on how to use this feature, please see here. Shortcut key N.


Fullscreen Playback

Click the fullscreen button to play the current video in fullscreen mode. Shortcut key F5.


Rotate Video

If the orientation of the video is incorrect, you can click the rotate button to manually adjust it, making it easier to view. Shortcut key Shift + R.


Horizontal Flip Video

If you want to experience the content in a mirrored way to spark inspiration, you can click the horizontal flip button to flip and view. Rest assured, the result of this function will not be saved, so you don't have to worry about your video files being altered. Shortcut key Shift + F.


Open in Default Application

If you need further editing or other viewing experiences while watching a video, you can click "Open in Default Application" at the top to quickly use other playback tools on your computer. Shortcut key Shift + Enter.


Plugin Features

If you need to use specific plugin tools from the software plugin center while watching a video, you can click the plugin button to use them. Shortcut key P.


Set Video Cover

Click the "Set Current Screen as Video Cover" button to help optimize the content display of thumbnails.


Copy Current Screen

If you want to screenshot a specific frame while watching a video and use it elsewhere, you can use the "Copy Current Screen" option from the right-click menu. Shortcut key Shift + C.


Save Current Screen

If you want to save a specific frame while watching a video for later management, you can pause at the desired position and use the "Save Current Screen" function from the right-click menu. Shortcut key Shift + S.

The saved static image will be automatically stored next to the video file, making it quickly accessible for future video organization or retrieval.
